The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is asking the public for help locating two young children who are believed to be with two adults wanted in an abduction investigation.
Who is missing
Police say six-year-old Lanakai Morrison and four-year-old Karl Morrison are missing and are suspected to be with Krista Morrison and her partner Daniel Ludwig, both of whom are wanted for abduction contrary to a custody or parenting order.

Where they might be
RCMP investigators have said the group was thought to be in the Okanagan Valley near Vernon and may have been travelling east toward the Kootenays. Police note they are “very mobile” and could be in Northern B.C., the Yukon or Alberta.
Authorities reported the last confirmed sighting tied to the case in Fort St. John on the morning of July 8. The initial Amber Alert for Lanakai was issued July 7 and later cancelled in Alberta and British Columbia on July 10; it was cancelled in the Northwest Territories on July 11. Alberta RCMP said the alert was withdrawn in the province because:
"there’s no reasonable expectation the public, in Alberta, will be able to action the instructions in the alert."
Possible vehicles and how to report tips
Investigators believe the adults may be driving a 2006 red Ford F-350 fitted with a lift and large tyres; they may also be travelling in a motorhome. Anyone who sees a vehicle matching that description or recognises the people involved is asked to contact police immediately.

RCMP investigators have asked the public to avoid directly approaching the adults if they encounter them and to instead notify police. The Major Crimes Unit continues to co-ordinate the investigation and disseminate updates when new information is confirmed.
