The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is asking the public for help locating six-year-old Lanakai Morrison and four-year-old Karl Morrison, who are believed to be with two adults wanted on abduction charges.
Where police believe they might be
Authorities say the children are suspected to be with 35‑year‑old Krista Morrison and her partner, 35‑year‑old Daniel Ludwig. The pair are wanted in relation to an alleged abduction contrary to a custody or parenting order.
RCMP investigators have suggested the group was in the Okanagan Valley near Vernon and may have been travelling east toward the Kootenays, but they emphasised the group is mobile and could be in Northern B.C., the Yukon or Alberta. They were last believed to be operating a 2006 red Ford F‑350 with a lift and large tires, and police say they may also be using a motorhome.

The original Amber Alert for Lanakai was issued on July 7. Police reported a sighting of Lanakai in Fort St. John on July 8 at approximately 9:30 a.m. The Amber Alert was later cancelled in Alberta and British Columbia on July 10 and removed in the Northwest Territories the next day; Alberta RCMP said the cancellation reflected an assessment of the alert’s likely usefulness to the public in the province.
Descriptions and how to report tips
RCMP have released physical descriptions of the children and the two adults. They describe the younger boy, Lanakai, as six years old with a slight build, long light-brown hair and brown eyes. Karl is described as four years old with blonde hair.
