Peel Regional Police have issued a missing-person alert for a 13-year-old girl last seen in central Brampton early Friday morning.

Police say the youth, identified as Ashanti, was last observed in the area of Mavis Road and Steeles Avenue at about 12:45 a.m. on Friday.

Police appeal to residents
