Police investigating fatal e-bike crash on Pine Street
Authorities say a 16-year-old Burlington resident, Shiloh Skalka, died after she was struck by a minivan while riding an e-bike on Thursday afternoon. Skalka was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center where she later died. Police emphasised that she was operating an e-bike — not an electric motorcycle — and that she was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
