Edmonton police are asking anyone who was in Queen Elizabeth Park on the evening of May 25 to come forward after a man with a gunshot wound was discovered on the riverbank near the south end of the Walterdale Bridge.

At roughly 10:35 p.m. on May 25, officers responded to a report of an injured person in Queen Elizabeth Park. Using Air 1, the Edmonton Police Service located the injured man on the riverbank and he was transported to hospital with serious, life‑threatening injuries.
