Montreal police are investigating after a man was injured with a sharp object during a confrontation in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough late Wednesday.

Emergency services were alerted by multiple 911 calls at about 10:15 p.m., reporting a person hurt by a weapon near the intersection of 20th Avenue and Villeray Street. Officers located the victim in Gary Longhi Park.
The injured man, aged 31, had wounds to his upper body. He was conscious when transported to hospital and is in stable condition, authorities say. There were no other reported injuries.
