GRANBY — A 37-year-old man was killed late Thursday after his motorcycle crossed into the opposing lane and collided with a tractor-trailer on Route 202, officials said.
Crash details and immediate response
The collision occurred at around 11:30 p.m. near 201 West State St. The motorcycle, travelling east, veered into the westbound lane and struck a tractor-trailer that was travelling west, according to a statement from the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
Emergency responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released. The driver of the tractor-trailer remained at the site and cooperated with investigators, and no charges have been filed, the DA's office said.
