Niagara Falls — Niagara Regional Police have identified the man who was fatally shot at a residence on Thorold Stone Road on Thursday evening and continue to seek two people believed to have fled the scene in a white SUV.
Victim identified
Police say the deceased is 35-year-old Mitchell Snoddon of Niagara Falls. Officers responded to a report of a shooting at about 8:50 p.m. at a home near Dorchester Road. Detectives have described the incident as targeted and say the firearm used in the incident is still unaccounted for.
Suspect descriptions and vehicle
Investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward. The two suspects were seen parking near the residence and leaving in a newer-model white Nissan SUV, possibly a Rogue. Police provided these descriptions:
- Male suspect: estimated 25–35 years old, around 5'6", slim build, dark skin; last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and shoes, sunglasses and a red bandana.
- Female suspect: estimated 18–25 years old, dark brown hair and brown eyes; last seen wearing baggy blue sweatpants, a grey hooded sweatshirt and white shoes.

Investigators have said the incident appears to be targeted and caution the public because suspects and a firearm remain outstanding.

The force has not released further details about a motive or any relationship between the victim and the suspects. Detectives continue to examine the scene and canvass neighbourhoods for witnesses and camera footage.
This investigation follows other recent shootings in Niagara region; police stress the importance of immediate reporting of any sightings or security-camera clips that could assist the probe.
