Outdoor chamber concert returns to Historic River Lots
The St. Albert Chamber Music Society (SACMS) will stage its free summer concert on Sunday, July 26, presenting the Strathcona String Quartet at the city’s Historic River Lots and Grain Elevator. The event marks the second consecutive year the society has used the river lots site for its open-air performance.
The performance is scheduled as a roughly one-hour programme that moves from familiar classical repertoire to lighter popular arrangements. "We are pleased to return this year. We had great feedback last year. We love the setting and encourage people to visit the historical site. You can combine a tour of the site as well as take in the concert," said Nancy Watt, artistic director of SACMS.
