Investigators executed search warrants on July 16, carrying out one in the City of Toronto and another in Ajax. The Toronto warrant led to the arrest of Nygel Wright, 30, who faces a total of 12 charges. Police say the charges include assault, forcible confinement, trafficking in persons (comprehensive), advertising another person’s sexual services and material benefit from sexual services.
The Ajax search produced the arrest of Kristin Hendren, a 34-year-old woman from Ajax, who is facing five charges, including trafficking in persons by recruiting (comprehensive) and material benefit from sexual services. Both accused were scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on the day of their arrests.

Police say the investigation involved a 27-year-old victim. According to the allegations, the accused obtained control over the person through a combination of deception, coercion and control. Investigators allege the victim was transported to different locations to meet clients and required to surrender money earned from sexual services to the accused, who retained the proceeds.
