Police seek two people after targeted shooting in Thorold Stone Road home

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a Thursday evening homicide in Niagara Falls that left a 35-year-old man dead and prompted an urgent public appeal for information. The incident occurred at a residence on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road, and investigators say two people entered the home and fired a handgun.

Emergency crews transported the victim, later identified by police as 35-year-old Mitchell Snoddon of Niagara Falls, to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives describe the incident as believed to be targeted, but they caution the public to exercise care while the suspects and firearm remain outstanding.

“We are urging the suspects to speak with a lawyer and turn themselves in,”

Investigators have obtained images of the suspects and their vehicle and are asking the public and local businesses to review any camera footage from the area for sightings. The suspect vehicle has been identified as a white 2022–2026 Nissan Rogue SUV.

  • Suspect 1: Male, 25–35 years old, approximately 5'6"; skinny build; dark skin. Clothing reportedly included a white t-shirt, dark pants and shoes, sunglasses and a red bandana.
  • Suspect 2: Female, 18–25 years old; dark brown hair and brown eyes. Clothing reportedly included baggy blue sweatpants, a grey hooded sweatshirt and white shoes.
