York Regional Police are investigating vandalism at a commercial property in Vaughan after the exterior of a business was damaged in the early hours of July 12.
What investigators say happened
Officers were called to the area of Langstaff Road and Dufferin Street, near Highway 7, at about 5 a.m. on July 12 following reports of property damage. When police arrived they found multiple broken windows and fresh graffiti on exterior walls.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video and observed two people arrive at the business at approximately 3:17 a.m.. The pair smashed glass windows and applied graffiti to the building’s outside surfaces. Police say the suspects did not enter the premises and that no theft was reported.
Police appeal to the public
Detectives are treating the incident as vandalism and are asking anyone with information to come forward. In particular, investigators want to hear from witnesses who may have observed suspicious activity in the area during the overnight hours surrounding the incident.
"They are also asking residents and business owners with video surveillance or dashcam footage from around the time of the vandalism to contact police."
