Local labourer and parishioner remembered
James Lewis Duplisea, a lifelong presence in the Saint John area who worked for more than four decades as a member of Local 900, died peacefully in his sleep on July 14, 2026. He was 77 years old.
Born on July 22, 1948, Duplisea spent much of his life in family and community settings connected to Saint John and neighbouring communities. He and his late wife, Mary Carolyn Duplisea (née McLaughlin), married in 1976 at Sacred Heart Parish in Norton and were long-time parishioners of Saint Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Glen Falls.
