Air North adds year‑round Yellowknife service with Whitehorse on twice‑weekly rotation

Air North will introduce a year‑round route that includes Whitehorse, linking the Yukon capital with Edmonton and Yellowknife twice weekly beginning Dec. 3, 2026. The change converts what has been largely seasonal service into a permanent connection between the three northern hubs and is intended to better serve residents, businesses and travelling sports teams.

Schedule and connections

The scheduled rotation will run on two days each week, creating direct travel options in both directions on set weekdays:

• Monday: Whitehorse → Edmonton → Yellowknife → Whitehorse
• Thursday: Whitehorse → Yellowknife → Edmonton → Whitehorse

That rotation gives Yellowknife a direct Thursday flight to Edmonton and a direct Monday flight from Edmonton. Those Edmonton–Yellowknife city pairs are also served by other carriers on a daily basis, but Air North’s itinerary adds a northern connection that specifically ties into Whitehorse scheduling.
