Dates, hours and affected movements
The Transportation Investment Corporation (TIC) says the closure will be in place from July 16 to July 20, with construction activity running between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. each day. No work is planned for July 19.
- No vehicle access to or from 64th Avenue north of Fraser Highway during construction hours.
- Turn restrictions to or from Fraser Highway will be enforced 24 hours a day while the temporary pattern is active.
- No access from 192nd Street to 64th Avenue and Fraser Highway.
- 192nd Street access from 64th Avenue westbound permitted for local traffic only.
- Alternate routes provided via 188th Street, 194th Street, 68th Avenue and 196th Street.
Pedestrians, cyclists and businesses
The TIC emphasised adjustments for people on foot and bicycle: pedestrians are to use the crosswalk on the south side of Fraser Highway to cross 64th Avenue, and cyclists are expected to share the road. The pedestrian change will remain in place through October 2026, according to the release. The corporation also said business access will be maintained at all times, and normal access on 64th Avenue will be restored after 10 p.m. each day during the work period.
