The new chargers are being fitted inside the shopping centre’s underground parkade, which is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, according to project listings on Tesla’s Supercharger map where the site is marked as "in development."

Context within Burnaby and the region
When activated, the Highgate station will become the third Supercharger site in Burnaby, joining existing installations at Bainbridge Avenue and The Amazing Brentwood. The new Highgate facility will expand fast-charging options for residents, commuters and shoppers in southern Burnaby.

Broader provincial rollout
The Highgate project is part of a wider push by Tesla across British Columbia. Other sites reported as under construction or awaiting activation include Sicamous, Keremeos, Nanaimo, Vanderhoof, Terrace and Prince Rupert.
